Well done to Alonso getting the win. It was handed to him on a platter by Massa though. In the first turn Massa should have taken the inside line. Staying outside he also ruined the chances of Raikkonen, having to slow down behind Massa and allowing both McLaren drivers through. Ferarri must have been surprised though with the speed the McLaren made up from the first outing of the season. McLaren doing very well to optimise their strategy and making Ferrari look average.

Sepang, Formula 1 racing's 2nd race

Well done to Massa. After a disappointing opening race of the season he could not ask for a better result from quali today. No real surprises in the top 6 today with the exception of Nico Rosberg, doing a great job to out-qualify the works Toyota team in the Williams Toyota.

The losers for the day must be Renault, with both drivers not making it into the top ten, and the Honda factory team being outqualified by the customer Super Aguri team. Button and Barrichello qualifying in 15th and 19th respectively, and Sato and Davidson bettering them in 14th and 18th respectively.
